The second season of Kaiju No. 8 is already getting fans excited for the countdown. The official website revealed a new promotional visual inspired by this year's spring, and the hype is only increasing.
- Tate no Yuusha: Season 4 will have new developments in Japan
- One Piece: Luffy and the reunion with Kizaru in episode 1125
While we await the return of Kafka Hibino and the Kaiju Defense Force, the anime's official X (formerly Twitter) account released new artwork from the Kaiju Hyakkei series—a project depicting the characters relaxing in Japan. This time, Mina, Kikoru, and Konomi are shown enjoying a typical spring day, sitting in a park under blooming cherry blossoms, enjoying a peaceful picnic.

Therefore, season 2 will premiere in July 2025 on TV Tokyo and other Japanese channels. A compilation of the first season and the new original episode, "Hoshina's Day Off," will be shown simultaneously in a limited theatrical release.
This illustration accompanies the release of the OVA “Hoshina's Day Off,” which arrives alongside the special film Mission Recon, scheduled to premiere in theaters later this semester. Furthermore, the Kaiju Hyakkei series will continue to be updated on the 8th of each month, always bringing new perspectives of the characters outside the battlefield.
And if you thought summer 2025 would be lukewarm, get ready: in addition to Kaiju No. 8, we'll have new seasons of Dandadan, Grand Blue, My Dress-Up Darling, and much more.
However, stay tuned here at AnimeNew to keep up with all the latest news about anime, manga, and the otaku universe. Don't miss any updates!
