manga series “ Kaiju No. 8 ” has just received official confirmation that an anime of the work will be made.

Synopsis
In the story, Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro dream of becoming people committed to exterminating the kaiju (Japan's monsters) after losing their homes to them. However, young Kafka fails to meet the physical requirements to join the Defense Force. However, while working at a company specializing in cleaning up battle debris, the boy's body is transformed by a mysterious creature and acquires the power to become a kaiju.
