Kaiju No. 8 Episode 5 Synopsis
The Defense Corps' induction ceremony was underway, but Kafka wasn't present, and Kikoru seemed worried. Kafka arrived late. Although he failed the exam, he was appointed as the unit's candidate thanks to the recommendation of Third Unit Vice Captain Hoshina . His colleagues were thrilled with Kafka's arrival. However, Hoshina had his own agenda with the induction.

Kaiju No. 8 Synopsis:
Japan is the place with the highest monster occurrence rate in the world, suffering invasions every day. In the past, Kafka Hibino aspired to join the Japanese Defense Forces, but now he works for a company specializing in cleaning up the remains of battles with monsters. But one day, the boy's body is transformed by a mysterious creature and he receives the codename "Kaiju No. 8" from the Japanese Defense Forces, the organization responsible for subduing the monsters!
