Kakegurui's 2nd live-action debuts on June 1st

The official Twitter dedicated to the 2nd live-action film in Kakegurui franchise announced that it will premiere in Japan on the 1st of June.

The film was therefore called Kakegurui 2: Ultimate Russian Roulette .

Synopsis

Hyakkaou Private Academy is an elite school guaranteed to prepare the children of the world's richest people for real life. By day, it is like any other educational institution, but at night it turns into a gambling house and that's where young students learn the importance of manipulating people and the power of money. Among the students is newcomer Yumeko Jabami, who unlike the others, plays for fun.

It is worth remembering that the film was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 29th, but was delayed due to the pandemic and the state of emergency that was declared in four Japanese prefectures on April 25th. delayed once again due to COVID-19 and the extended state of emergency in Japan, a second postponement was also necessary thanks to the pandemic and also the extension of the state of emergency.

The new Kakegurui film will feature the return of much of the cast from the previous film, this time focusing on a new antagonist, the cunning player Makuro Shikigami , played by actor Ryuusei Fujii .
