Kadokawa announced that the last episode of the anime Kakkou no Iinazuke ( A Couple of Cuckoos ) will be 1 hour long. The long-running episode is actually a portmanteau of episodes 23 and 24, which air on October 1.
Now comes the sad part. Instead of new episodes coming out, on September 17th, 24th and 29th, special episodes will be released recapping fan favorite scenes.
Synopsis
The manga's story revolves around the super dedicated 16-year-old student at Meguro River Academy, Nagi Umino. He was changed at the hospital shortly after birth. One day, while on his way to a dinner to meet his biological parents, he accidentally meets the bold and honest Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend, considering that she wants to never get married. But, upon arriving at the restaurant and meeting his parents, Nagi discovers that they want to make him marry their hospital-swapped daughter, raised by them in Nagi's place... who is – by chance – Erika herself!

Hiroaki Akagi ( Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san ) is the chief director and Yoshiyuki Shirata (episode director on Great Pretender ) is the director at studio Shinei Animation and Synergy SP . Yasuhiro Nakanishi ( Kaguya-sama: Love is War both seasons, Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun ) is the script supervisor, while Aya Takano (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san) is the character designer.
Finally, author Yoshikawa Miki ( Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo ) has launched the Kakkou no Iinazuke manga, which is still in publication, in Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. The anime adaptation premiered on 24 April 2022. Furthermore, the anime is available on Crunchyroll , which also announced that the adaptation will be dubbed in Portuguese a few weeks after its premiere.
