Kadokawa released on Wednesday the main look , the promotional trailer, the theme songs and the debut date of the second season of the anime Kakkou at Inazuke (A Couple of Cuckoos).
The original work is the manga of the same name, by author Miki Yoshikawa . The new season arrives on July 8 , 2025. Singer Asmi will play the opening theme song, “Kimi Ga Kureta Mono” . Already the closing will be the 22/7 , with the song “Anata de Nakucha”.
CRUNCHYROLL will make the international broadcast and will also make a debut event at Anime Expo on July 3, 2025. Check out the trailer :

The second season will bring major changes in production. Synergysp studio is being replaced by Okuruto Noboru (Tomodachi Game). The production team also changed, check out the new names:
- Director: Masakazu Hisshida ( Ensemble Stars!, King of Prism );
- Character Design: Kyoko Chika ( Classroom of the Elite );
- Screenplay: Jou aoba (pseudonym of history);
- Soundtrack: King Ishizuka (who is returning from season 1).
Kakkou Synopsis No Inazuke
The first season of the anime premiered in April 2022, with 24 episodes aired without breaks. Kodansha publishes the manga in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2020.
The manga's story revolves around the super dedicated 16-year-old student at Meguro River Academy, Nagi Umino. He was changed at the hospital shortly after birth. One day, while on his way to a dinner to meet his biological parents, he accidentally meets the bold and honest Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend, considering that she wants to never get married. But, upon arriving at the restaurant and meeting his parents, Nagi discovers that they want to make him marry their hospital-swapped daughter, raised by them in Nagi's place... who is – by chance – Erika herself!
