Therefore, the premiere of the anime Katainaka at Ossan, Kensei Naru (From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman) takes place on April 6, 2025 with animation from Passione X Hayabusa Film.

Synopsis From Old Country Bumpkin:
Beryl Gardnant is a middle-aged fencing master who owns a small dojo in a rural area. But the days of him aiming for the top as a swordsman are long gone. Now, he lives a peaceful life, accepting his abilities. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when Allucia, one of his former students who has now become the captain of the Order of Knights of the Kingdom, appears on his doorstep after ten years.
Finally Katainaka's novel at Ossan ( from Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman ) began November 2020 adding eight volumes with illustrations by Nabeshima. In addition, an adaptation for manga by Kazuki Satō premiered in August 2021.
