The December issue of Square Enix 's Big Gangan revealed that Makoto Fukami and Shinjirou will launch a new manga titled Kensen Hyoukyoku in the magazine's next issue, which launches on December 25th.

The story of Kensen Hyoukyoku takes place on a continent ruled by violence and dominated by the hegemony of the Jian kingdom. The third prince of the kingdom, Sekka, lives with his two older brothers (who he does not get along with), the noble hostage Suiran from Ren's vassal country and his childhood friend Shiraha. He receives daily training from his master swordsman Karen. One day, the Jian kingdom suffers a terrible attack from a rival power, which also causes the appearance of Karan Hyoukyoku, the messenger service of the swordmaster Kokuyou. Now charged with the protection of Sekka, the prince of a fallen nation, they swear to protect him until he reaches safety.
