Kentaro Miura, creator of the manga Berserk, has passed away at the age of 54. ANN website , the mangaka passed away on May 6th at 2:48 pm due to an acute aortic dissection and today the Hakusensha officially announced it.
The author Miura was born in 1966, launched the manga Berserk in Monthly Animal House in 1989, its continuation was immortalized in Hakusensha's Young Animal
Synopsis:
Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe, the story revolves around the lonely Guts, a former mercenary and now a cursed swordsman forced to roam restlessly to survive and seek revenge, and Griffith, the leader of a band of mercenaries called “Bando do Falcão”.
Therefore, the work adapted an anime in 1997, as well as a trilogy of films between 2012 and 2013. In 2016, a new anime was released that premiered in Japan in July of the same year, receiving its second part in April 2017.
Finally, Kentaro Miura's work had more than 40 million copies in circulation and inspired three anime television series and a trilogy of anime films.
