Kimetsu no Yaiba – Season 3 announces video of the Upper Moons

We know that the 3rd season of the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is coming this year, as we reported here . That said, during a special event, a promotional video was revealed showcasing the Upper Moons (villains of the anime) that will appear in the new season.

The 3rd season premieres after the release of the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour, which was shown on February 2nd in Japan. The film includes the last two episodes of the second season as well as the first episode of the third season . However, information states that this film will premiere on March 9th in Latin America.

The 3rd season of the Blacksmith Village arc premieres on April 23, 2023 on the Crunchyroll streaming platform this year.

Synopsis:

The new season of Demon Slayer will cover the Blacksmith Village arc from the manga. In the story, Tanjiro awakens from a coma after defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District and needs to go to the village to forge a new sword, since his old weapon was damaged. However, along the way, he encounters new demons who, following orders from Muzan, the main villain of the plot, intend to eliminate all demon slayers.

The first season of Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered in April 2019 , becoming a hugely successful phenomenon with the film. Finally, the second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan.
