The official website for the anime Kimi to Boku no Saigo Senjou, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen ( Kimisen ), inspired by the light novel by Kei Sanaze and Ao Nekonabe, revealed that production for the second season has been greenlit.

Synopsis

A great war has raged for years between the scientifically advanced Empire and Nebulis, the kingdom of magical girls – until the youngest knight to ever receive the title of strongest in the Empire meets the princess of the rival nation. They are sworn enemies… yet the knight is drawn to her beauty and honor, while the princess is moved by his strength and way of life. Will their struggle ever end?

Staff

Shin Oonuma ( BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense , WATAMOTE ) and Mirai Minato are directing the anime at studio SILVER LINK . Kento Shimoyama (Death March to The Parallel Word Rhapsody) will write the anime's script. Kaori Sato (animation director on BOFURI, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Masamune-kun's Revenge) is the character designer and chief animation director. Kaori Ishihara sings the opening theme song "Against," and Sora Amamiya sings the ending theme "Koori no Torikago" (Cage of Ice) as her character Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX.

The first season of the anime premiered on October 7, 2020.

Finally, Kadokawa began publishing the print novels in Japan in May 2017. Okama launched the Kimisen manga adaptation in Hakusensha Young Animal magazine in May 2018.
