The King of Prism franchise has announced the production of a new feature film titled King of Prism -Tri-Star Act- . The news came during the King of Prism Super Live Prism☆Tours! event held this Sunday. The film will focus on the Prism.3 competition , a tournament that brings together trios of artists in performances of the traditional Prism Shows.

According to the teaser image released, illustrated by character designer Mai Matsuura, the highlighted phrase suggests decisive moments for the protagonists: "These bonds will be put to the test now...". The preview indicates that the story will explore the strength of the relationships between the competitors during the event.
The series originated as a spin-off of the Pretty Rhythm and became a phenomenon among idol anime fans. Over the years, the franchise has spawned numerous films and television adaptations, expanding the universe of Prism Shows and its characters.
Finally, the announcement comes after the success of King of Prism -Your Endless Call- Miinna Kirameki! Prism☆Tours, released in 2025, which grossed approximately 1.2 billion yen and became the franchise's biggest hit.
