We learned through social media about the anime adaptation of the manga Kinoko Inu , a mix of dog and mushroom. It will premiere in Japan in October 2024.

Additional details about the series, such as crew, cast, and exact release schedule, have not yet been revealed.

Synopsis of Kinoko Inu:

We follow the life of Hotaru Yuuyami, an author of illustrated books who is grieving the loss of his beloved canine companion, Hanako. But one day, a peculiar discovery changes everything: a mysterious mushroom-shaped creature appears in his garden, bringing with it new adventures and renewed hope.

Finally, the author Kimama Aoboshi first published the manga between 2010 and 2022 in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Comic Ryu manga magazine.
