Synopsis

Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since she was seven years old. She used to be a free-spirited and boisterous child, but the strict upbringing she receives to become a proper future princess has truly limited her lifestyle. Leticia's only hope is that the prince might one day become interested in someone else. Therefore, when Clarke appears at a royal ball with an unknown woman by his side, Leticia is overjoyed, presuming her dream has come true and her engagement is broken.

She wastes no time in retiring to a quiet life in the countryside, but her newfound peace is interrupted when the prince appears and claims she is still his fiancée! Clarke is determined to win Lettie's heart and marry her, while Lettie is determined to resist his charms and escape! Who will emerge victorious in this thrilling battle of wills?

Finally, Sawano launched the Kisaki Kyouiku initially in August 2018 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro ( roughly translated as "Let's Become Writers" ). Shufu to Seikatsu Sha republished it with illustrations by Miru Yumesaki. Sugata launched a manga adaptation on Shufu to Seikatsu Sha's "Comic PASH!" manga website in March 2020. The novels have over 1.2 million copies in circulation.
