A special screening at the “ Gegege-ki 2021 ” event revealed the main team and a new image from the film Kitarou Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo .

Gou Koga is directing the film at studio Toei Animation , while Hiroyuki Yoshino is writing the script. Touko Yatabe is designing the characters and also drew the image above.
The film is part of four major projects celebrating the 100th anniversary of Shigeru Mizuki . The author passed away in 2015 at the age of 93. Another project already revealed is an anime of Akuma – kun .
