Entertainment planning company Isaribi announced on Friday that the upcoming anime project dedicated to virtual YouTuber (VTuber) Kizuna Ai will be titled “ Kizuna no Allele ” and will premiere as an anime in 2023.
Kizuna Ai's YouTube channel launched in 2016. Since then, she has become the world's most iconic online YouTuber and was named one of Newsweek Japan's "globally respected Japanese." Her main channel has over 3 million subscribers, and her "AIGames" channel has over 1.51 million subscribers. Since then, she has appeared in television shows and commercials, and has also worked as a recording artist.
In April 2020, Nozomi Kasuga signed on as a consultant for Kizuna Ai Co., Ltd.—formally confirming that she is the voice actress behind the character. The company was formed from Activ8, the talent agency that managed Kizuna Ai and other YouTube virtual talent.
Kizuna Ai voiced guest roles in the anime Ingress and Magical Girl Site, and also performed the theme song for the film Laidbackers.
