Netflix has released the official trailer for the second season of Knights of Sidonia ( Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine ). The video reveals that the season will premiere on Netflix on July 3rd.
The line of dialogue at the beginning of the video is, “ It’s nice to meet everyone. My name is Tsumugi Shiraui. ”
The first season premiered in Japan in April of last year, was released as a film compiled with the 12 episodes of the first season, and premiered in Japanese cinemas on March 6th.
The story follows the adventures of Nagate Tanikaze, who has lived in the subterranean layer of Sidonia since birth, raised by his grandfather. Never meeting anyone, he trained daily in an old Guardian pilot simulator, trying to master it. After his grandfather's death, he is discovered by the rest of the population and selected as a Guardian pilot, hoping to defend Sidonia from the Gauna attack using his combat skills.
