Kyoto Animation has released a new promotional trailer for the film Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryū . The video showcases action and battle scenes from the animated film.
The film's official English title is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved . Crunchyroll has confirmed that it has acquired Western distribution rights to the film. Watch the full trailer:
The film opens in Japan this Friday, June 27, 2025 , in 199 theaters , with special 4DX and MX4D for an immersive experience. An exclusive preview had already taken place on May 26 .

The production team previously announced new voice actors who will be part of this film, check out the names:
- Fumihiko Tachiki as Kimun Kamui
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad
- Shiori Sugiura replaces Tomomi Mineuchi (who retired in 2022) as Ilulu
The main cast members who are also returning to the film are:

- Yūki Kuwahara as Tohru;

The soundtrack features the theme songs “Namida no Parade” (Parade of Tears) by fhána and “Negaigoto” (Wish) by kotringo .
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon film synopsis
The peaceful lives of Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna, and Iruru are shattered when Kanna's father, Kamun Kamui, leader of the Forces of Chaos , arrives and forces her to return to the Dragon World to right a wrong from the past. With a war brewing between Chaos and Harmony , Kanna must find a way to unite the two worlds, but is torn between her loyalty to her friends and her father's demands. Miss Kobayashi, however, refuses to let her go and tries to mend Kanna and Kamui's broken bond. As the dragons clash, Iruru discovers a hidden force manipulating the war. Can they stop the war before it consumes both worlds?
