Kanna Kamui (カンナカムイ) is a young dragon who arrives in the human world looking for her friend Tooru. Upon discovering Tooru working as a maid for Kobayashi, a human, Kanna feels a mixture of jealousy and curiosity. Reluctantly, she ends up moving into Kobayashi's house, having been expelled from the dragon world for her constant mischief.
Over time, Kanna develops a special affection for Kobayashi, seeing her as a mother figure. Meanwhile, Tooru, whom she has always considered a sister, remains an important pillar in her life.
Kobayashi-San Movie Release Date?
So fans can celebrate now, the new film Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid – A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) premieres on July 27, 2025, in theaters in Japan. The animation is exclusive to Kyoto Animation.
Finally, the first season, produced by Kyoto Animation, premiered in January 2017 with 13 episodes and an OVA. Its second season premiered in July 2021. Furthermore, the work is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Coolkyoushinja.
