Kyoto Animation has released on its YouTube channel a new promotional trailer for the movie Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samashigariya on Ryū . The video shows action scenes and animation battles.
The official title of the movie in English is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved . Crunchyroll it has acquired the film's distribution rights to the West. See the full trailer:
The film opens in Japan this Friday, June 27, 2025 , in 199 theaters , with special sessions in 4DX and MX4D for an immersive experience. An exclusive premiere had already occurred on May 26 .
New and old voices in the cast
The production team previously announced new voice actors, which will be part of this movie, check out the names:
- Fumihiko Tachiki as Kimun Kamui
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad
- Shiori Sugiura replaces Tomomi Mineuchi (who retired in 2022) as Ilulu

Kobayashi-san movie synopsis at Maid Dragon
The peaceful lives of Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna and Iruur are destroyed when Kanna's father, Kamun Kamui, leader of chaos forces . C HEGA and the force to return to the dragon world to fix a mistake of the past. With a war forming between chaos and harmony . Kanna must find a way to unite the two worlds, but is divided between her loyalty to her friends and the demands of her father.
