The new film Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid – A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) had a new trailer for the film revealed. However, fans found out about its release date.
Additionally, a new promotional image was highlighted on the film's official website.
Kanna Kamui (カンナカムイ) is a young dragon who arrives in the human world looking for her friend Tooru. Upon finding Tooru working as a maid for Kobayashi, a human, Kanna feels a mix of jealousy and curiosity. Even though she is reluctant, she ends up moving into Kobayashi's house, as she was expelled from the dragon world for her constant antics.
Over time, Kanna develops a special affection for Kobayashi, seeing her as a motherly figure. Tooru, who she has always considered like a sister, remains an important pillar in her life.
Kobayashi-San movie release date?
So fans can now celebrate, the new film Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid – A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) premieres on July 27, 2025, in cinemas in Japan. The animation is exclusive to Kyoto Animation studio.
Finally, the first season produced by Kyoto Animation premiered in January 2017 with 13 episodes and an OVA. Its second season premiered in July 2021. Furthermore, the work is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Coolkyoushinja.
