Kokumin Quiz to get live-action series on Netflix

The official X account for Netflix Japan confirmed this Tuesday (28) that it is producing an adaptation of the manga Kokumin Quiz (National Quiz), by the duo Reiichi Sugimoto and Shinichi Kato.

The original work was serialized between 1993 and 1995 in Kodansha 's Morning . In 2001, Ohta Publishing re-released the manga in a two-volume compilation.

The series director will be Teruyuki Yoshida (My Brother's Husband), who is also co-writing the scripts with Maggy , and the music will be by Yasunori Nishiki .

Along with the announcement, Netflix revealed that actor Takayuki Yamada (Elizabeth from Gintama) has been confirmed as the main character of the manga Ki K-ichi .
