The popular manga Komi Can't Communicate (Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu), by Oda Tomohito, is nearing its conclusion.
It has been announced that the story will conclude in just three chapters, marking the end of one of the most beloved romantic comedies of recent years.
The story follows the charming and seemingly perfect Komi, a student admired from afar by everyone because of her beauty and aura of "coolness." However, behind this flawless image, Komi faces extreme shyness that prevents her from talking to other people. Everything changes when her classmate, Tadano, discovers this vulnerable side of Komi. Although determined to help her, he becomes the young woman's first friend and encourages her to pursue a bold goal: to make 100 friends and, with that, transform her life for the better.
Therefore, since its debut, the manga has won over fans worldwide with its lighthearted humor, emotional moments, and captivating characters. However, the series also received a highly praised anime adaptation, reinforcing its place as one of the most iconic titles in the rom-com genre.
The work has been serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sundaysince May 2016, with 35 compiled volumes (tankōbon) released as of October 2024. In North America, the series is licensed by Viz Media.
