Twitter user @Mrpkulslol found the character Komi-san from the manga/anime Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu in a Mexican school book, but how did it happen?
In Mexico there is the National Commission for Free Textbooks, a government organization that distributes books to students across the country. The book that caught attention here is “Taller de Lectura y Redacción I” (in free translation 'Reading and Writing Workshop') for asking questions about writing and interpreting text using the Komi-san franchise.

Despite the peculiarity, it is very interesting to see something from otaku culture, anime, manga, linked with learning and encouraging knowledge through lessons that speak better to students, bringing something fun for the greater good. Mexican teaching is to be congratulated.
