Konami has confirmed that it will hold a new presentation about the future of the Silent Hill franchise this Thursday (13), at 7 pm (Brasilia time). The event will be broadcast on the company's official channels and will feature Silent Hill f as the main highlight. The game was announced in 2022 and will take place in Japan in the 1960s.

Konami's new offering in the famous psychological horror series has been attracting attention for its unique setting. Furthermore, it features an original storyline after more than a decade without new additions to the main franchise. The game's script was written by Ryukishi07, known for creating the popular visual novel series Higurashi and Umineko, both acclaimed for their mysterious and atmospheric plots.

Silent Hill F promises to revitalize the series with a brand new narrative

The teaser already released by Konami presents an intriguing scenario: a seemingly abandoned city being overtaken by vegetation, while a young woman wanders aimlessly. The developer has not yet revealed many details about the gameplay, but promises to bring back classic elements of the series while exploring new forms of narrative and horror.

In recent years, Konami has demonstrated a renewed effort to revitalize the Silent Hill franchise. In 2023, the company released the highly anticipated remake developed by Bloober Team, which sold over one million copies in less than a week. This success boosted the relationship between the companies, leading to new collaborations that may result in other future projects.

This time, the game is being produced by Motoi Okamoto, an industry veteran who worked on titles such as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Pikmin 2. The technical aspects of development are being handled by the Neobards studio, while the character and creature design is by the artist Kera.

Konami reinforces investment in the franchise

Although it has faced ups and downs in recent years, Konami shows that Silent Hill remains one of its priorities. The remake of Silent Hill 2 was an important step in rekindling public interest, and now the company is betting on a completely new narrative to expand the series' universe.

In addition to Silent Hill f, the Polish developer Bloober Team recently announced Cronos: The New Dawn, a science fiction horror game, which may indicate that the partnership with Konami still has room for more future projects.

The presentation on March 13th will be crucial in setting fan expectations and clarifying details about Silent Hill f. The community eagerly awaits to discover how Konami intends to reinvent one of the most iconic horror franchises in video games.
