Krafton has released the technical requirements for inZoi, its new life simulator, which will enter early access on March 28, 2025. The game promises detailed graphics and a highly interactive world, but requires robust configurations to run at maximum quality.
To play at the minimum, you'll need an Intel i5 10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 12 GB of RAM, and an RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU. For medium specs, the requirements increase to an Intel i7 11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600.
The recommended configuration requires an Intel i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU. To run the game at the highest quality level, you'll need an Intel i7 14700K or AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32 GB of RAM, and an RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
Storage and compatibility
The required installation space varies between 40 GB and 75 GB, depending on the graphics quality chosen. Krafton also confirmed that inZoi will be compatible with the Steam Deck, although without specific optimization at launch. Additionally, controller support will be added in the future, which could indicate a possible console release.
With an advanced customization system and an interactive world, inZoi promises to be one of the most ambitious life simulators ever released. However, creating a game of this magnitude wasn't easy.
The challenge of developing a life simulator
Hyungjun Kjun Kim, director of inZoi, highlighted the challenges of creating a large-scale life simulator. He said finding bugs in the game's vast world was like "a game of tag with invisible ghosts."
Kim also acknowledged the complexity of the genre, stating that he now understands why so few companies venture into this type of project. "The challenge isn't just cumulative as you build—it's exponential ," he explained.
Despite the difficulties, the director expressed his gratitude to fans and reinforced his respect for The Sims team, which has dominated this industry for decades. "The Sims team deserves endless praise for their incredible achievements ," Kim said.
inZoi's early access will be an important test to gauge public acceptance and allow for adjustments before the final launch.
