Kuma Miko: Girl meets Bear – Manga becomes anime!

This Friday, Media Factory began broadcasting a promotional video announcing that Matsume Yoshimoto's manga will get a television anime adaptation.

The cast features Natsumi Hioka as Machi Amayadori (protagonist) and Hiroki Yasumoto as Natsu Kumai and the anime is directed by Kiyoshi Matsuda (Durarara!!).

The manga tells the story of Machi, a high school student who serves as a priestess at a Shinto shrine and cares for a bear, named Natsu, who lives in the area. Natsu has the ability to speak and is Machi's guardian.
