Kuroko's Basketball (黒子のバスケ, Kuroko no Basuke?), also known as Kuroko's Basketball, is a manga and anime series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki . The series tells the story of a basketball club trying to reach nationals. An anime adaptation was produced by Production I.G. with an original 25-episode run and was shortly after renewed for another season with 25 episodes.
The story revolves around the Teiko High School basketball team, which rose to prominence by defeating all competition. The members of this team became known as the "Generation of Miracles." After graduating from middle school, these five stars enrolled in different high schools. Each school now boasted a strong basketball team. However, a fact few knew was that there was another player from the "Generation of Miracles," a sixth "phantom player," Kuroko Tetsuya. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with its little-known basketball team.
