Kadokawa 's monthly magazine Newtype, it was confirmed this Monday that the second season of the Kuroko no Basket anime series will end with its 50th episode on March 29th.
The first Blu-ray/DVD volume of the second season arrived with two episodes in January, and the Blu-ray and DVD release continues with eight more volumes, each containing three episodes. This leaves one episode that will not air during the broadcast television run.
The second season premiered in October 2013, following the character Kuroko as a member of the legendary high school basketball team. Although no one knows it, the five main players consider him the best basketball player. When he joins the team, everyone is surprised to discover that Kuroko is small, thin, and weak... what is the secret that makes him so famous, and what are his abilities that can help his team?
