Kuroshitsuji 'Emerald Witch ' Arc:
The story begins with two men on horseback, hunting a fox. Their dogs disappear into a forest to chase the creature. Both men are apprehensive about entering, as the forest is supposedly cursed, but they decide to go ahead. There, they encounter a woman who warns them to turn back. Ignoring her cautionary words, they proceed. After finding their dogs, they come face to face with a werewolf. They run out of the forest and arrive at an unfamiliar mansion. The inhabitants come out to inquire about their well-being. Both men end up fainting with bloody noses.
Therefore, Kuroshitsuji premiered in 2008 and received a second season, titled Black Butler II, in 2010. In January 2014, it was announced that the series would receive a new anime adaptation. Unlike previous seasons, this one would faithfully follow the manga, adapting the Noah's Ark Circus arc.
To continue the manga's timeline, in 2014, the Phantomhive Manor Murders arc was announced as two 1-hour OVAs, shown in Japanese theaters on October 25 and November 15, 2014. In 2017, the Book of the Atlantic arc received a film adaptation.
Finally, Crunchyroll announced during its panel at Anime Expo 2023 that the anime would return with the Book of the Atlantic arc in 2024.
