In episode 20 of the second season of Kusuriya at Hitorigoto , released on May 30, Shisui's true identity is finally revealed. In addition, Shenmei takes maramao to a fortress, where she should create a youth potion.
At the end of the last episode, Shenmei discovers that Momao and Kyou-U are hidden in the shed, where the pistols are produced. With that, she decides to punish them severely. The woman, who does not show mercy, is accompanied by Ayla, one of the foreign enclosures, Sui and Loulan.
The scene proves that one of the foreign envoy is really involved in the production of the pistols. This revelation is probably related to the story of sisters who could not leave home, since in Gaoshun's account, it is evident that one of them escaped to find someone known. Therefore, it is possible that the escape is linked to the participation in the production of the pistols and the rebellion led by Shishou.
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: the true identity of Shisui
When Shenmei is ready to punish them, Loulan interferes and tells her mother that Momao is the new apothecaria responsible for trying to create the youth potion. Although the anime has put countless tips during the narrative, the revelation that Shisui is actually Loulan only occurs in this episode.
Momao is surprised by the girl's ability to act, since her personality while interpreting the SHISUI servant is completely different from when she is dressed as Loulan. In addition to the revelation that occurs in the episode, it is evident that Loulan is reluctant to disagree with his mother and is afraid of her. However, she does not agree with Shenmei's acts, especially the aggressions directed at Suire, who is also the daughter of Shishou.
During the episode, it is clear that Shenmei does not like Superi because she is the daughter of Shishou with another woman. Despite this, Loulan shows affection for half sister and even uses her real name, Shisui, when she is disguised. Shenmei, on the other hand, rejects the use of this name in Superi because he carries the family clan ideogram.
Finally, they decide to take Momao to a place they call Fortaleza. There, according to Shenmei, it will be more suitable for the apothecaria to create a youth potion. On site, Momao finds many books and ingredients left by the old apothecary.
Lakan discovers Shishou's conspiracy against the royal family
All incidents of the first season were made by Suire. Now we know that everything that happened, both in the first episodes of the work and now, in season two, was a shishou plan to destroy the royal family.
While doing his investigation, Lahan, son of the strategist, discovers that Shishou's fortress is expanding. However, Shishou does not communicate expansion to the emperor. Thus, they consider the act as a rebellion. When Lakan gathers enough evidence about Shishou's betrayal, he asks Jinshi to mobilize the army to defeat him.
At the end of the episode, while ordering, Lakan reveals that he knows that Jinshi is not a eunuch. The strategist even calls him a prince of the moon. However, Jinshi is not surprised by Lakan's discovery. In the next few episodes, it is likely that he abandon his disguise from eunuch to put an end in the rebellion led by Shishou.
What to expect from the next episode?
According to the manga and the preview of the next episode, Shenmei punishes Momao. However, the girl receives help from Suirei and Kyou-U. In addition, Loulan finally decides to act against his mother's plans and does something unexpected.
The second season is getting closer to an outcome. The excellent script of the work allows last season events to have the current incidents. In addition, the animation, made by Toho and OLM studio, complements the narrative with its bright colors and unique details, such as the design of characters and environments present in the anime. The dubbing of the character Momao, made by Aoi Yuki, is also amazing. No wonder she received the award for best voice performance in the anime Awards.
Episode 21 will be released on Friday on June 6 on the Crunchyroll streaming platform, with Portuguese subtitles.
