Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Synopsis:

Maomao, the daughter of a pharmacist with an unusual fascination for poisons and remedies, and Jinshi, a handsome and enigmatic eunuch, face even more complex mysteries within the imperial court! With the confirmation of the pregnancy of the emperor's favorite consort, Lady Gyokuyo, Maomao returns to the Jade Palace as her poison taster. While she lives vigilantly to prevent further attacks on the consort and the imperial heir, several other issues begin to arise: the arrival of a new consort, Lady Loulan, daughter of a powerful minister from the era of the former emperor; an unsolved case that put Jinshi's life at risk; and the unknown whereabouts of the suspect, Sui Rei. Amidst this tense atmosphere, foreign merchants and an emissary with absurd demands arrive at the palace. What Maomao and Jinshi don't realize is that these new events will trigger a crisis that will affect the entire kingdom.
