About Maomao: Daughter of an apothecary who resides on the outskirts of the city, Maomao provides her services to a brothel in the capital and its courtesans. After being kidnapped by bandits and sold to the Imperial Palace for profit, she is inadvertently drawn into palace intrigue, using her knowledge of poisons, medicine, plants, and basic chemistry to become an unofficial forensic pathologist, as well as acting as a lady of companion and poison tester for one of the emperor's concubines. Although Jinshi is in love with her, her feelings are unrequited, often being the target of her disdainful gaze, due to her involvement in the palace conspiracies.
Synopsis:
The story takes place in a large country in the middle of the continent, however we meet Mao-mao, a young woman who works as a pharmacist in a Hanamachi (a neighborhood with several brothels). But her life changes when she is kidnapped and sold as a servant to the palace. But she hides the fact that she is a pharmacist, she works very quietly, waiting for the new year to arrive. One day, however, she hears a rumor from a co-worker that the emperor's children are dying one after the other.
Therefore, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto ( Diaries of an Apothecary ) began publication in October 2011 in Shousetsuka ni Narou . Finally, the novel had two manga simultaneously.
