About Maomao: The daughter of an apothecary living on the outskirts of the city, Maomao serves a brothel in the capital and its courtesans. After being kidnapped by bandits and sold to the Imperial Palace for profit, she becomes inadvertently embroiled in palace intrigues, using her knowledge of poisons, medicine, plants, and basic chemistry to become an unofficial forensic pathologist, as well as serving as a lady-in-waiting and poison taster for one of the emperor's concubines. Synopsis:
The story takes place in a large country in the middle of the continent. However, we meet Mao-mao, a young woman who works as a pharmacist in a Hanamachi (a neighborhood with several brothels).
