A film adaptation of the Kyochuu Rettou manga was announced for 2020 by studio Passione . According to official information, the film was titled Kyochuu Rettou: The Island of Giant Insects.
The story takes place after a plane crash during a school trip, Oribe Mutsumi and his classmates were stranded on a seemingly deserted island. Mutsumi ends up finding other survivors and used her knowledge to help them. She expects them to be rescued in about three days, which doesn't seem like it will take long. However, she didn't consider the fact that the island was full of gigantic killer bugs.
Finally, along with the anime 's official website , a trailer and character designs were also revealed.
