News about the production of the film Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) has been circulating online. The official website has also been updated, revealing the title of the production, Gekijō-ban Kyōkai no Kanata -I'll Be Here – (Beyond the Boundary the Movie: I'll Be Here), which will be divided into 2 films. The first, Kako-hen (The Past), will be released in theaters on March 14th, and Mirai-hen (The Future) will arrive on April 25th, 2015.
A short teaser for the film was released on the official website . The first season of the anime premiered in Japan last October; currently, the paid streaming service Crunchyroll is streaming the anime in several countries, since it aired in Japan.
Kyoukai no Kanata, based on the light novel by Nagomu Torii, received an honorable mention in the novel category of the Kyoto Animation Award program in 2011.
