Kyoukai no Kanata (Gekijō-ban Kyōkai no Kanata -I'll Be Here), the first feature film announced, got its trailer focused on the drama. Remembering that two films will be released to complete the series that debuted in 2013. The premiere takes place on April 25th in Japan.
Kyoukai no Kanata is based on the light novel by Nagomu Torii, where the story revolves around Kihito Kanbara, a second year boy. Although his body appears human, he is half “youmu”, in addition to being immortal for exactly that reason. One day, Akihito meets freshman Kuriyama Mirai when it looks like she is about to jump off the school roof.
The series received an honorable mention in the romance category of the Kyoto Animation Award program in 2011.
