Pony Canyon has announced that an anime adaptation of Hideaki Koyasu 's Lance N' Masques has been greenlit and will be produced. Studio Gokumi (Saki – The Nationals, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, The Severing Crime Edge) is producing the series; a trailer with more details and information should be released soon .
The novel focuses on action battles revolving around Yotaro Hanafusa , a young man who is part of the last remaining reign of knights in the 21st century, "Knights of the World." As he fights as the mysterious Lancer Knight , he must hide his identity behind a mask .
Koyasu , the screenwriter of Yuruyuri – Happy Go Lily , began the light novel last December with illustrations by Shino (Sunday Without God). Pony Canyon will release the second volume of the series in Japan .
