In episode 10 of Lazarus , released on June 8, the population begins to feel the effects of hapuna and fill the hospitals around the world. In addition, the team discovers that Skinner performed a medical procedure to put an artificial heart. Hirsch and Abel find clues that Axel is possibly immune to the painkiller.
At the beginning of the episode it is revealed that there are six days left for the patient zero to die with the hapuna. People already show the first symptoms of the painkiller and hospitals are overcrowded. In addition, the Lazarus team analyzes the pill Chris found at Dr. Skinner's house, as members have the hope of finding healing. However, the tests report that it is a type of antiplatelet medicine, mainly used for patients with artificial heart.
With this, Elaina seeks medical records to try to find where Skinner may have had surgery. However, there is no evidence that the scientist has performed such a procedure, and Hirsch suspects that he went to a hospital that only serves the elite with total discretion.
Leland returns home and reunites his sister
In this way, Leland asks Axel and Doug for help to go with him to his home, where the Astor family resides. There he meets his sister Isabella, with whom he has a troubled relationship. She wants the boy to assume his role as head of the family and accept his responsibilities.
Leland wants information about the hospital that serves his family. However, Isabella says she will only provide contacts if he spends a weekend with her before everyone dies. The boy says he wants the information to find Skinner and avoid people's death.
At the hospital, Leland finds his family doctor, who admits that Skinner had surgery for an artificial heart transplant in the hospital. After his discharge, Skinner became undetectable. Thus, the hospital does not know about its location. However, the doctor delivers the scientist's heartbeat transmission system software, which may contain some useful search information.
Elaina analyzes the transmission system delivered by the doctor and finds that the heart monitor is still active. This way they can use the device to find out where it is being monitored from.
The incident at Schiphol Airport
Abel gets a recording of the Schipol airport incident, where there was a conflict in which allegedly biochemical weapons were used. However, the recording reveals that Dr. Skinner was present at the scene, and Abel suspects that the scientist's goal was to smuggle the Hapuna prototype. Hirsch discovers that Skinner was arrested by Inscom, whose mission was to arrest a terrorist.
Thus, the anime reveals that the reports that the incident would have been a terrorist attack with biochemical weapons were false. The gas that leaked at the airport was precisely the prototype of the hapun that was in the Skinner suitcase, which proved to be a lethal substance enough to kill people only through contact. Abel adds that, six months later, Hapuna reappeared in the arrest of Eyman, located in Arizona, where Axel was being kept.
Eyman's arrest was forcing prisoners to ingest new medicines for clinical tests. Axel has been qualified to be part of the test. However, no results have been recorded. Abel explains that he has lost contact with Eyman's arrest doctor, the only witness who could provide information on the use of the drug in axel.
The Lazarus team finds a solid track to follow
While analyzing the transmission system delivered by the doctor, Elaina discovers that there is someone monitoring Skinner in Islamabad, Pakistan, where is the wizard of popcorn. With this, Elaina and Doug decide to go after the hacker to find out Skinner's location.
In addition, Hirsch reveals to Axel that the drug that forced him to take in prison was a prototype of Hapuna. According to the test date, the other prison guinea pigs are likely to be killed. However, Axel is still alive, and this can be important information to create the analgesic's healing. Thus, he receives the mission of finding the doctor responsible for the tests and protecting him.
When Axel is ready to fulfill his mission, Soryu, the man they call the ghost, prevents the protagonist. Lazarus episode 10 has no action scenes, however, with the meeting of Axel and Soryu, it is likely that in the next chapter the anime will display one of the best fight scenes. The conflict between the two has everything to be full of tension and extraordinary movements. Also, now only 6 days left for Hapuna's first death. This is likely to be the group's last chance to try to find Dr. Skinner.
