While the girl tries to get some information, Chris and Leland search Skinner's house in hopes of a new lead. Meanwhile, Axel and Doug search for Claude, Doug's old professor and a former colleague of the scientist they're searching for. However, when they go to the hospital to inquire about Claude, they discover he's retired and rumored to be living on the streets.

When Axel and Doug enter a homeless community to meet Doug's former counselor, an intriguing scene ensues. One of the men on the street, wearing a cap and sunglasses, looks strikingly like Dr. Skinner. For those who want to revisit the scene, it occurs at 7:42, at the exact moment Doug asks a trio for directions.
Axel and Leland infiltrate Istanbul
After finding Claude, Doug discovers that Skinner's grandmother, who may know something about the scientist's whereabouts, is in Istanbul. Axel and Leland then head there and infiltrate a dangerous area, attracting the attention of some local criminals. A sequence of action and escape scenes follows.
The anime's action scenes truly don't disappoint, and this episode's sequence is fluid, dynamic, and effortless. Furthermore, the soundtrack, composed by saxophonist Kamasi Washington, makes the moment even more exciting and immersive.
After a lot of parkour, and Leland almost losing his arm, they manage to divert the bandits' attention when they announce that they are in Istanbul simply to try baklava, a famous Turkish sweet, prepared by Skinner's grandmother.
A possible clue to the Lazarus group
Besides the amusing exchange with Dr. Skinner's grandmother, who asks if they're like James Bond and have a license to kill, the trip to Istanbul allows Elaina to find a possible clue. Also, during the visit, a flower—described as a rare variety of tulip—catches Leland's attention, who realizes he's seen the same species elsewhere. The grandmother then explains that the flower was a gift from the scientist. It's possible that the tulip in question is relevant, and this detail will be explored in the future.
After hearing Skinner's childhood story, the two realize that the grandmother and grandson were close. Therefore, Axel concludes that the scientist must be watching to make sure the grandmother is okay. So, with all his wit, the Lazarus group member finds a hidden camera and uses it to taunt Skinner.
As a result, Elaina, who is on the lookout for any possible sign of the hacker involved, detects a signal and claims to have discovered the hidden wallet of Doctor 909, the hacker behind it all. In the episode's final scene, Elaina is about to destroy the system that spread Skinner's face across the world.
The details of the anime that increase immersion in the plot
Each episode begins with a Hapuna-related story. The first introduces Dr. Skinner and the creation of the painkiller. The second tells the story of a boy who used the medication recreationally. The third tells the story of a woman who used it to eliminate pain and suffering.
Furthermore, the voices used to narrate the stories in episodes 2 and 3 resemble those of Leland and Chris. Therefore, at some point in the anime, it may be revealed that the stories at the beginning of the episodes belong to the members of Team Lazarus.
Furthermore, at the end of each episode, the number of days remaining until people die is counted. Now, after the final chapter, there are only 26 days remaining. This means the team's time is running out, and as viewers, we're also gripped by the anxiety of finding a solution.
