In Lazarus episode 9 , released on June 1st, the team pauses in search of Dr. Skinner and is evaluated by an investigative committee that questions its existence . In addition, Skinner makes a new statement and reveals that only ten days left for the Hapuna zero patient to die.
At the beginning of the episode, Abel, founder of Lazarus and director of NSA, participates in an investigative committee, whose function is to question the actions of the team and their existence. The commission discusses the disaster of missions carried out and mentions that the group's actions so far have no direct relationship with the objective of capturing Skinner. Those present at the committee claim that on the last mission, where the team rescues Chris, Lazarus did not act according to his main commitment, which is finding the scientist.
Leland is called to testify against the Lazarus team
During the Inquiry Commission, the anime reveals that Leland was acting like a spy inside the team. With this, the committee calls him as a witness to testify against Lazarus. However, to the surprise of those present at the scene, the boy states that the team is, in fact, looking for Dr. Skinner. In addition, he explains that Chris is a key piece in the group's mission. Therefore, rescuing it was also an important step in continuing to seek the scientist.

As soon as Leland ends his statement, it is revealed that Dr. Skinner made a new statement. The scientist recalls that a few days left to the effect of hapuna and rebuke humanity for his lack of concern. An interesting point is that it seems that Skinner really wants them to find it. At one point in his statement, he reflects that the governments of the world are acting as if nothing has happened. In addition, he points out that countries continue to fight territorial waters in the Arctic and lead them all to war.
With this pronouncement, Skinner's intention is likely to create Hapuna, in fact, to unite humanity in search of healing. Moreover, it is possible that the scientist wants to show people how fragile they are, and that, in the face of death, all conflicts and desire for possession have no relevance. At the end of the statement, Dr. Skinner reveals that he is the patient's zero patient and that only ten days left for his death. Thus, with time against humanity, the committee allows the Lazarus team to temporarily resume activities.

The ghost man named Soryu
In the research committee, a man named Schneider of the Army Intelligence Department, who is behind Axel Gilberto, discovers that he is part of the Lazarus team. With that, he decides to hire Soryu, a man who call the ghost to capture axel.
However, Schneider decides to test Soryu's abilities before hiring him. Thus, to prove his ability, man fights a unity of the special forces. With just one knife and a line, Soryu exterminates everyone who enters his way. The scene highlights their skills and also confirms the problem that the members of the Lazarus team will have if this man goes after them. And right now, a confrontation between Axel and Soryu, as interesting as it may seem, will cause delay in searching for Dr. Skinner.

The struggle scene, as usual, does not disappoint. In addition, in this episode, they replaced the usual and fun jazz, which is one of the anime brands, with a slightly tense trail during Soryu's confrontation and the unity of the Special Forces.
It is likely that in the next episode, Soryu will go after Axel to capture him. With this, it is possible that another day will be passed without the team being able to locate Dr. Skinner. Episode 10 will be released next Sunday, June 8, on the Max streaming platform and could bring one of the best fights in the anime.
