The new Lazarus from creator Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) has received a new trailer. However, fans can mark their calendars for the release date.

Lazarus anime will premiere on April 5, 2025, with 13 episodes. The animation is by studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan).

Synopsis Lazarus
The year is 2052 – an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity reigns throughout the world. The reason for this: humanity has been freed from disease and pain. Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle drug called Hapuna, which has no apparent side effects. Hapuna soon becomes ubiquitous… and essential. However, shortly after the official introduction of Hapuna, Dr. Skinner disappears.
Finally, Watanabe directed notable anime productions such as Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy, Carole & Tuesday, and Terror in Resonance.
