Artist James Clyne, responsible for films like Avatar, recently published some concept art (visual representation of a project) he created for Warner Bros., related to the live-action Akira film. Clyne was hired when director Ruairi Robinson was slated to direct the film.

James Clyne, was responsible for great Concepts for films, such as: ENDER'S GAME, and OBLIVION, Since then, several other directors have had the project in hand, although most recently Jaume Collet-Serra , who said in an interview that he hopes Akira will be his next work.

The original Cyberpunk story takes place in Neo-Tokyo, a rebuilt Tokyo (on what is now Tokyo Bay) after its destruction in World War III. As it turns out, World War III was (supposedly) started by the uncontrollable growth of supernatural powers in a child named Akira.

For now, let's hope that the film Akira hits the big screen.
