Live-action Homunculus reveals cast, director, and release date

The live-action Homunculus has revealed its director, main cast, and release date of April 2, 2021. In addition to its theatrical release in Japan, the film will also be available on Netflix worldwide.

Takashi Shimizu creator of the Ju-On horror franchise , is directing the film. Gou Ayano (pictured below) will star as the protagonist Susumu Nakoshi.

Synopsis

This psychological horror story centers on a man who agrees to let a medical student drill a hole in his head to pay his bills. However, as a result of this experiment, the man's sixth sense awakens, and the resulting side effects haunt his life and the lives of those around him.

Furthermore, Hideo Yamamoto's manga Homunculus launched in Shogakukan 's Weekly Big Comic Spirits in 2003 and ended in 2011.
