According to information from the Jbox , the court revoked the concession of the Loading . According to TRF-3 , the sale of the service by the Abril to Spring is illegal. This has been the understanding since last year, when an action by the Federal Public Ministry was accepted.
As it is a public concession, approval from the National Congress would be required, along with sanction from the Federal Government. The companies involved were previously condemned for failing to pay collective moral damages – a fine of 29 million reais was imposed on them, but the process had been stopped due to a review request from Abril.
There is no longer any appeal to any instance, including the Federal Superior Court (STF). The decision requires the channel to go off the air immediately.
With the revocation, the sale is undone and the concession returns to the Ministry of Communications. Jovem Pan is currently the current communication vehicle most aligned with the government , but will need to go through public bidding processes to obtain the channel.
