The official website for the second season of Log Horizon is announcing a trailer showing that all the animation is now with Studio DEEN. The first season was animated by the Satelight studio and consisted of around 25 episodes. The new season will arrive in Japan on October 4th on NHK.
Shinji Ishihira is returning to direct the series with composition by Toshizo Nemoto. Tetsuya Kumagai (Tamayura) is the character designer. Masakazu Miyake (Humanity Diminished) is replacing Yuki Nomura as art director, Imari Katsuragi (Pupa) is replacing Tomomi Murakami as color designer.
Log Horizon is a Japanese light novel series written by Mamare Touno. It was originally posted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2010 and later published by Enterbrain, as of March 2011. The series follows strategist Shiroe and the other players of the long-running MMORPG Elder Tale, shortly after they find themselves trapped inside the game after updating it. The novel received four manga adaptations, one based on the main story and three others involving other characters from the series. An anime adaptation began airing on NHK Educational.
