The official Twitter account for Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Grace Note, the anime adaptation of Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo (The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II), a spinoff mystery novel series for the Fate Type-Moon franchise, began streaming the show's third promotional video on Thursday (27).

The anime will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on July 6th at midnight (effectively July 7th at midnight), before airing a few hours later on MBS. The show will stream on 16 services in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
The adaptation of the story “Rail Zeppelin” from the novels, in addition to including the original content, will have the original content in the first part, and the story “Rail Zeppelin” in the second part of the anime.
Makoto Katō (Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-, Bloom Into You) is directing the series at TROYCA. Ukyō Kodachi (Chaos Dragon, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is in charge of series composition. Jun Nakai (GATE, Silver Spoon) is designing the characters. Ei Aoki (Fate/Zero director) is credited as supervisor. Yuki Kajiura is composing and arranging the show's opening theme song, "Starting the Case: Rail Zeppelin." Kajiura is also composing, arranging, and writing the lyrics for ASCA's ending theme song, "Kōtenshi."
"Episode 0" of the anime premiered during a special on December 31. Crunchyroll is streaming the episode in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
The story introduces Lord El-Melloi II, Kayneth's successor, as well as his apprentice, Gray. We are introduced to the Clock Tower, the headquarters of the Wizards' Guild in England. There, Lord El-Melloi II and Gray solve several magical mysteries involving the Wizards' Guild.
