During the Tencent Video Dongman Awards 2025 , the platform revealed an ambitious production plan for the Chinese anime Lord of Mysteries . According to executive producer Ma Yankun , the series will have seven seasons , three specials , and a film that will adapt the final part of the story.

The first season will air in 2025. Special 1 will premiere in 2026 , and the second season is scheduled for 2027 , with over 30 episodes divided into two parts. Production on this new phase begins later this year.
