The anime debuts July 5 , 2025 and is being produced by the Lesprit studio (Cinderella Girlsgekijou). Tomohiro Tsukimi (Kapibara-san) is the director, Touko Machida (7 Seeds) is the composer of the series, Ayano Owada is responsible for character design and King Ishizuka is responsible for the soundtrack.

Hiura , a new character has gained a look and a description:
Hiura is a Fuji classmate at Primary School and an anime director. When he was stuck at work and was taking a walk in the park, he discovered "You." He thinks he is a owner-free dog and tries to catch him, but unexpectedly gather with Fuji, the owner of "You."
Hiura's voice actor will be Shuhei Sakaguchi , who left a comment about his new work:
Mr. Hiura, it was a very eccentric role and I liked it a lot. However, playing a role with the title of “anime director” was a unique tension (laughs). Personally, the scene where he knows "You" when he first appears is impressive, and Hiura's originality is well demonstrated. At the same time, "You" behavior at that moment is our tanu… it seemed exactly like a dog and I couldn't help but laugh.

Ko Nikaido wrote the manga of the same name that inspired the work. The series is serialized by Kodansha in Seinen Weekly Young Magazine since August 2020.
On a rainy day, a woman comes across a strange animal waiting on the side of the road. The little animal, hoping to be welcomed, offers her an umbrella, trying to show her charm. Curious about the creature's intelligence, the woman decides to take it home, and thus begins their new life together.
