My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The low salaries of animators are exposed again, that's right. A Twitter user named “ぷるこ (@prkg_prkg_) ”, who claims to be a worker in the anime in Japan , posted an update that went viral, revealing the salary he received as an animator; he made over 500 animation frames in a month .

Low salaries of entertainers are exposed AGAIN!

The user reported:

“I didn’t know that 180,000 yen (US$1,434.69) was what an animation company would pay me. You get 150,000 yen (US$1,195.58) for a part-time job as a student, so 180,000 yen for a professional job isn’t much. I already turned down a company that offered me much more because I thought I could easily earn more money. This is the salary of a 4-month junior worker who worked very hard to make 500 animation frames.”

He went on to say:

"Don't worry, if you can sustain this for two years, you'll have an additional 30,000 in gross revenue for the same number of frames, including fixed costs."

Finally, the posts were shared on various social media platforms, going viral and being discussed throughout Japan.
